Kevin Wang

I am a network security researcher using intelligent methods to enhance the scope and capability of internet measurements. I am fortunate enough to work with Prof. Ram Sundara Raman. I am particularly interested in monitoring global internet freedom and availability.

I previously conducted research at Censored Planet, where I was advised by Prof. Roya Ensafi. I was on the team that produced CenRL, a first look into using intelligent methods to optimize internet measurements. My journey through research started during my undergrad at the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute, where I was advised by Carol Flannagan.

In 2023-24, I was a Fulbright Scholar to Poland, where I taught English and computer science at a small university in Podlasie. I received my master’s and bachelor’s degrees in computer science from the University of Michigan in 2023 and 2021 respectively.
